<br><br>My opinion here is mild. I've counted the costs, expressed my friends'<br>opinions, shown what a sweet deal this is for Microsoft and given LSU's IT<br>some praise and things they can do to improve the system for everyone.
<br><br>The only blinding I've had was not knowing what Windows users would think of<br>this. My windows using friends also think they got a bad deal. They already<br>have the software and resent paying for the ability to download it again.

I would have to say, that your poll of four people is not
representative of the larger population of students. Most people
don't put two and two together and realize that they are paying
twice. The average person is probably just fine with having
"free" software. Just like the average person is an uneducated
voter, or worse, doesn't vote at all. I would also venture to say
that your associates are not the average computer users either.
Think english majors, polisci, business, etc. <br>
